Carols Service

The inaugural WPC Carols Service was held on Sunday 16th evening at St Luke’s Ellinbank.

The event drew a large number of regulars and their family, friends, locals, and others who received an invite to come and enjoy the bbq and carols singing.

The weather changed for the better just as bbqing was completed. The sun and blue sky greeted us as we sat around outside to eat and get better acquainted.

The band struck up and the carols singing was wonderful; lifting the roof off the building as we praised God for sending us His Saviour.

Christopher Dean delivered a short but very meaningful message from John Chapter 1 to help us understand what Christmas is really about.

A smorgasbord of home made sweet treats was on hand after the service and we enjoyed supper together and more conversation.

Everyone had a wonderful evening and agreed it was a joyful time. We hope to make this an annual event and look forward to next year.

Thanks to everyone for coming and being involved to make our Carols Service such a success.

Jonah

Today we started a new series, looking at the book of Jonah.

You can follow along each week as the text is explained about what was going on back then and how it applies to us today as Christians living in our current context.
